Former St. Paul football standout Eric Langland earned a terrific honor as a senior at the University of New England.
Langland was named Offensive Lineman of the Year in the Commonwealth Coast Conference, according to a Monday press release. Langland was also first team All-CCC, the second time he received an all-conference honor with the Nor’easters during his career.
Langland was part of an offensive line that helped UNE’s passing game that tallied nearly 1,900 yards and 18 touchdowns. The six-foot-five, 295-pound nursing major helped the offense average nearly five yards per play (4.8) in a 5-5 season. UNE was in its fourth season as a program.
Wallace second team All-ECFC
Former Holy Cross standout DeAndre Wallace had a solid season and earned some accolades for his efforts.
Wallace was chosen second team All-Eastern Collegiate Football Conference at wide receiver, according to a Wednesday press release. The six-foot-five, 195-pound junior caught 39 passes for 553 yards and six touchdowns. Wallace, a graphic design major, was past of an Anna Maria passing attack that averaged 311 yards per game and connected for 27 touchdowns.
