The Bristol Eastern softball team launched four home runs on Friday afternoon in an 11-4 home win over Conard.
Ali Tellier led the offensive charge with not, not two, but three homers, with the last coming in the bottom of the sixth inning. Jazmyn Browne added a three-run dinger.
Tellier’s first home run, a three-run shot, came in the bottom of the first inning and was Eastern’s answer to Conard’s own three-run homer in the top of the first. Tellier led off the bottom of the fifth with her second homer of the game. Browne’s three-run shot later in the fifth inning extended the Lancer advantage to 10-3. Tellier added a solo shot, her third of the game, in the sixth inning for the final run of the contest.
Mickayla Antunes doubled, singled, walked and scored two runs for Eastern. Sarah Snedeker had a single, run scored and RBI while Sam Policki, Janessa Gonzalez and Emily Valentine each had a single and run scored. Tellier pitched a complete game in the circle and gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits, struck out six, walked two and hit one batter. The Lancers improved to 4-3 with the victory.
