State athletes competed in the final meet of the 2021 CIAC outdoor track and field season on Tuesday and Wednesday at Willow Brook Park in New Britain.
There was the decathlon, heptathlon, hammer throws and steeplechase races. Bristol Central had a girl and a boy run in the steeplechase races on Tuesday and Wednesday. Senior Natalia Popielarz competed in the girls 2000-meter steeplechase on Tuesday. Popielarz finished 14th in a time of 8:00.13.
On Wednesday, sophomore Francis Porrini took part in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Porrini came in seventh place in a time of 10:19.25.
