On a Saturday in late April 2016, I took in a baseball game between Sacred Heart and Wilby at Wilby High School.
I was in my first full year with my blog, and it was my first trip to Wilby since I covered a Torrington football game at the school while working in my first full-time sports reporter position. That came in the previous decade, by the way, when football was still played at Wilby.
Anyway, Sacred Heart scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to claim a 5-3 road win over Wilby on that windy April 23rd.
