St. Paul lacrosse looking for twin WCLC titles in home doubleheader Thursday

The St. Paul lacrosse programs have been building up their pedigrees throughout the season. The Falcons have a chance to do something special on Thursday.

Both the boys and the girls will play in the Western Connecticut Lacrosse Conference finals, and both games will be played on the grass of McPhee Field on the campus of St. Paul Catholic High School. St. Paul will be looking to claim both the boys and girls titles on their own home field.

Each team clinched their spot in their respective finals by beating Wolcott in semifinal games played at St. Paul on Wednesday. The girls beat the Eagles 19-10, then the boys dispatched their opponent 12-1.

The boys championship game will be played at 3 p.m. All-WCLC teams will be recognized before the girls championship game, which is scheduled for 5 p.m.
