Bristol Eastern put together some efforts in some bad conditions at Saturday’s Greater Bristol Invitational track and field meet, which was held at Bristol Central.
Joe Hardin finished second in the 200m dash (23.79 seconds) and fifth in the 400m dash (52.75) to lead the Lancers. Hardin also ran the final leg of the fourth place 4x400m relay (3:44.95), following the lead of Matt Millare, Zach Martin and Kyle Rivera. Rivera took fourth in the pole vault at 12′.
Alicia Rappleyea had a solid day for the girls. She finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 28.33, and she was part of a pair of top six relays. Rappleyea ran the final leg of the 4x100m relay (54.95), following the lead of Alyssa Lavoie, Kayla Lavigne and Jenesis Howard. She was the second leg of the 4x400m relay (4:48.28), following the lead of Lavoie. Brianna Champagne and Avery Braccia ran the last two legs.
