No one has been able to stop Holy Cross boys swimming and diving so far this winter. The Crusaders remained undefeated with a 90.5 to 79.5 win over Seymour on Thursday inside Holy Cross’ home away from home, the John Reardon Pool at Kennedy High School.
Holy Cross improved to 7-0 on the season, according to the result reported to the Waterbury Republican-American. The Crusaders always seem to get off to a strong start in their meets, thanks to their 200 medley relay. Holy Cross has had different combinations of swimmers in the medley relay, but each combo has been successful.
John Tucker, Sam Mason, Derek Fantano, Alex Ford, Chris Ford and Ben Bowler have been among the strong individual swimmers for the Crusaders while Marcas Racevicius has been solid on the diving board.
The Holy Cross seniors, as listed on the CIAC roster, are: Ben Bowler, Alex Ford, Chris Ford, Sam Mason, Madeline O’Connor and John Tucker. The Crusaders are led by head coach Mary Racevicius. Holy Cross has won four straight NVL titles and looks to be on the way to a fifth.
