This former Holy Cross standout will return to the pool against Wagner on Jan. 4, 2019, in Staten Island, N.Y. It’s been a good first season for the Stags.

Mowad finished in first place, something she also did on Oct. 13 against UMass. Mowad’s first place finish against UMass was also in the 200 IM, and it came in her first dual meet with Fairfield.

Mowad competed in the ECAC Winter Championship, which was held Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in East Meadow, N.Y. She helped the 200 freestyle relay (Ore Cherebin, Kathleen Duong, Sarah Herbold) finish in a tie for fourth place. Individually, Mowad finished eighth in the 200 IM.

This former Bristol Central standout has fared well in his first season on the mat with the Pride. Trelli has a 10-5 record going into the winter break.

Trelli has earned seven pins and three decisions in his 10 victories. Two of those pins came at Springfield’s annual Doug Parker Invitational, where he finished fourth at 125 pounds. Two more pins happened during the City of Springfield Championship, a series of dual meets that the Pride won over American International College, Western New England University and the Springfield Technical Community College.

Springfield College will next wrestle at the Williams Open on Jan. 5 in Williamstown, Mass.

Wallace played in all 11 games and was first on the team in yards with 411. He averaged a team-best 37.4 yards per game, 15.8 yards per catch and tied for the lead in touchdowns with two. Wallace’s touchdown of 70 yards was the longest of the season for the Matadors. He was third in catches with 26.

Wallace was offered by Anna Maria College, which is led by former Holy Cross standout Dan Mulrooney.
