A look a where our teams sit in league standings

The high school fall sports season is only a few weeks old, but here’s a look at where area teams stand:

Football

NVL

BRASS DIVISION: Holy CrossWaterbury Career Academy and Kennedy all sport 2-1 records after three weeks, and each team is 2-0 in the division. The three-way tie for first place in the division will be broken next Saturday when the Spartans and Eagles meet at Ray Snyder Sr. Field at 3 p.m.

IRON DIVISION: Wolcott is 2-1 overall, 1-1 in the division, which puts the Eagles a game behind undefeated Naugatuck (3-0, 3-0). St. Paul is 1-2 overall, 1-1 in the division.

DIVISION II – WEST: Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern are each 0-1 in division play. The Rams are 1-2 overall while the Lancers are 0-3.

Girls soccer

NVL

COPPER DIVISION: Holy Cross sits atop this division with a league and overall record of 5-1.

IRON DIVISION: Wolcott is 4-0-1 in the league and overall, and it trails just Watertown, which is a perfect 4-0 (5-0 overall). Sacred Heart/Kaynor Tech and St. Paul each have one win in league play. The new co-op is 1-3 in the league and overall while the Falcons are 1-4 in both.

PATRIOT DIVISION (SOUTH REGION): Bristol Central (0-2) and Bristol Eastern (0-1-1) trail Plainville (2-0-1) in the division. The Rams are 1-3 overall while the Lancers are 0-3-1.

Boys soccer

BRASS DIVISION: Holy Cross leads the way at 4-0-1. Crosby is next at 2-2-1 in league play (2-3-1 overall). Kennedy is 2-2 in league play and overall. WCA is 1-4 in both while Sacred Heart is 0-4 in league play and 1-5 overall. Wilby is 0-5 in league play and overall.

IRON DIVISION: St. Paul and Wolcott sit behind league stalwarts Watertown and Naugatuck, along with Torrington. The Falcons are 2-1-1 in league play and overall while the Eagles are 2-2 in league play and 3-2 overall. The Indians and Greyhounds are unbeaten in league play while the Raiders are 3-2.

PATRIOT DIVISION (SOUTH REGION): Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern each find themselves at 1-1 in division play and 2-2 overall. The Rams and Lancers trail Plainville (2-1 division, 3-2 overall).

Girls volleyball

BRASS DIVISION: Kennedy is 5-1 in league play and 5-2 overall, which puts the Eagles atop the division. Holy Cross (2-4, 2-5), WCA (1-4, 1-6), Crosby (1-4, 1-4) and Wilby (0-6, 0-6) round out the standings.

IRON DIVISION: Naugatuck is undefeated and atop the division, but St. Paul is right behind the leaders. The Falcons are 4-1 in league play and overall. Wolcott is next at 3-2 in league play, 4-2 overall.

PATRIOT DIVISION (SOUTH REGION): Bristol Eastern actually has the better division record at 2-0 (4-1 league and overall), but Bristol Central (1-0 division) has a better record in the league (4-0) and overall (5-1).
