Wolcott knocked out of NVLs
The Eagles had to play a doubleheader on Thursday at Woodland Regional High School. Wolcott took down the host Hawks in the first matchup, but fell 5-2 to top-seeded Naugatuck in the second half of the double dip. Beacon Falls was hit hard by a tornado on Tuesday, so the Wolcott-Woodland match had to be postponed.
Edona Bytyqi won No. 1 singles for the Eagles by a score of 8-3 and Bella Piacentini took No. 4 singles by a tally of 8-4.
