Michael Mallory signs professional basketball contract (UPDATED)

Former Holy Cross, Marianapolis Prep and Southern Connecticut State University standout Michael Mallory can call himself something else now.
Professional basketball player.
Mallory signed a contract with HKK Zrinjski Mostar out of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“God is Great,” Mallory said in an Instagram post. “I signed my first professional contract to go play for HKK Zrinjski Mostar in Europe. I am blessed and excited. Thank you to everyone that helped me along the way this is where my journey continues, keep watching. More to come.”
Congratulations have been pouring in on social media for Mallory, who finished his SCSU career this past season. HKK Zrinjski Mostar plays in the Balkan International Basketball League and ABA Liga second division. The league is also known as the Adriatic Basketball Association. Mallory says he’s excited to play in those leagues.
“I’m going to be traveling to Eastern [European] countries playing against top division competition,” Mallory said. “For a rookie, that’s great in my opinion.”
Mallory’s agent brought him the contract opportunity, and after talking it over with his family, he signed the deal.
