UPDATED: Wolcott soccer teams having great seasons so far

This post has been updated to reflect the Wolcott boys soccer match result from today.

There isn’t a ton of success to be had for area NVL soccer teams this season.
Two exceptions to that rule reside on Boundline Road in Wolcott.
The Eagle girls soccer team is 5-0-2 heading into tomorrow evening’s 6 o’clock match against Holy Cross (2-1-2). The teams have met once already this season, with the match ending in a 2-2 deadlock on Sept. 16 at Holy Cross High School.
Take that match out of the equation, and the Wolcott girls have allowed ONE goal in their other six matches. The Eagles have outscored opponents 35-3 this season.
On the boys side, Wolcott is 5-1-1 following a 3-3 tie at North Haven on Wednesday.
The Eagles opened with a win, then were blanked by the Oxford Wolverines. Since then, Wolcott hasn’t lost. Three of the four Eagle wins were by two goals or less, including a pair of 2-1 results. Wolcott also won a 6-4 slugfest over Kennedy during that time.
