Sacred Heart boys make statement against Holy Cross

The Sacred Heart boys basketball team was all too aware of what happened the first time it played Holy Cross.
The Crusaders challenged the Hearts like no other NVL has this season on that January night inside Alumni Hall. Sacred Heart came away with a 77-65 victory, and some lessons learned.
The Hearts made adjustments — mainly mid-range jump shots on offense and a suffocating 1-2-2 halfcourt trap on defense — and blew out the Crusaders 101-66 on Tuesday night inside The Pit at Holy Cross.
Mustapha Heron had an impressive 34 points for Sacred Heart. Tyrn Flowers was spectacular in his own right with 25 points to go along with several blocks.
Sacred Heart improved to 17-2 (17-0 NVL, 8-0 NVL Brass Division) while Holy Cross dropped to 12-5 (10-5 NVL, 2-5 Brass).
Check out videos I took here. More to come on these two teams tomorrow, but that’s it for tonight.
