Proof that hard work pays off
Bristol Central wrestling had a great day Saturday in winning the Plainville Invitational.
For head coach Matt Boissoneault and his staff, it’s proof for their wrestlers that hard work does indeed pay off.
Four of Central’s five Plainville Invitational champions were on the team two years ago. The combined record of those four wrestlers was 17-47 (courtesy of Bristol Central wrestling Twitter account). Fast forward to this year, and all four wrestlers won championships in their first tournament of the season.
It’s a great start for Central wrestling, and one that wouldn’t have happened without hard work.
Note: The Rams had good efforts from non-winners as well. Mike Guzman finished second at 220 pounds. Travis Parsons (126) and Krys Nizielski (285) both took third place. Alan Suares (138) and Connor Staubley (195) each placed fourth. Those results, and the following results, we’re posted on Connecticut Wrestling Online.
