Vic Rinaldi takes over St. Paul baseball

A familiar face from just up the road will take over the St. Paul baseball program next spring.
Vic Rinaldi, the former head coach at Lewis Mills in Burlington, has been named the top man in the Falcon program, according to a post on the St. Paul athletics Twitter account.
Rinaldi left Lewis Mills in 2012 following a change in his work shift, according to a Waterbury Republican-American article.
Under Rinaldi, Lewis Mills was a force in the Berkshire League, winning championships in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
St. Paul was formerly led by Pat Holden, who left to become assistant softball coach at Central Connecticut State University. The Falcons earned a No. 5 seed in the 2015 Class S state tournament and won two games. St. Paul was eliminated by No. 4 Morgan in the quarterfinals. The Falcons also made it all the way to the NVL Tournament final, where they were defeated by Wolcott.
Rinaldi was a solid baseball player at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield from 1997-2000. He still among the all-time leaders in hits, walks and stolen bases.
