Sacred Heart senior Charles Fisher made his college decision official on Wednesday.
Fisher, a tough and talented guard, is staying in the city and heading to Division II Post University.
Charles Fisher will play basketball for Post University. |
“Thank you to everyone who congratulated me on my signing today,” Fisher wrote on Twitter. “Glad to be a part of the Post University family.”
Fisher may have been overlooked because of D-I recruits Mustapha Heron (Auburn) and Tyrn Flowers (UMass), but he can ball in his own right.
Waterbury basketball aficionado Rob Maia described Fisher well when he shared Fisher’s senior year highlight reel on Twitter:
“Efficient, gritty, hard nosed, defensive bulldog, & WINNER,” Maia wrote.
All Fisher did in high school was win. He left the Sacred Heart with three straight state championships.
In his senior year, Fisher was second team All-State as chosen by the New Haven Register. In the NVL, Fisher won the John Gilmore Award for being the best defender. He was also chosen for the All-Brass Division squad.
Don’t be surprised if Fisher has a big impact in his time at Post.
