Several local divers competed against the best that the state had to offer on Thursday night during CIAC state diving meets.
Holy Cross junior Marcas Racevicius claimed a state championship in Class S on Thursday at Plainville High School. Racevicius won the meet with a score of 379.05. Teammates Chris Wihbey (22nd) and Patrick Giancarli (23rd) also competed in the meet.
In Class LL, Wilby-Kaynor Tech senior Matheus Silva finished 13th in a meet held at Middletown High School on Thursday. Silva had a total score of 335.60. Norwalk-McMahon senior Kevin Bradley won his second straight Class LL championship with a total of 547.65.
