He may have been overshadowed by Sacred Heart sophomore sensation Edward Williams, but Crosby senior Jordan Wilkins had an awesome season on the track.
Those strong efforts included an individual championship during the Class L meet.
Because of strong state performances, Wilkins got a chance to compete in the 72nd Interscholastic New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles, a two-spot improvement over his preliminary rank.
Wilkins also took fourth in the 110 hurdles in the State Open meet at Willow Brook Park. Wilkins was fifth in the preliminaries, then moved up one spot.
In Class L, Wilkins was the champion in the 110 hurdles, and he also took seventh in the 300-meter hurdles.
Wilkins also had strong efforts in regular season meets. At the Torrington Varsity Alumni Track and Field Challenge, Wilkins took second in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the 300 hurdles.
