The Bristol Eastern girls volleyball team’s season has begun, but the squad’s X (formerly Twitter) account has put Lancer alumni in the spotlight.
Former standouts Ryley Plourde, Leah Chipman, Lauren Bender, Hannah Webber, Zoe Lowe and Alyssa Valentine were all pointed out. Plourde is at Nichols College, Chipman is at Montclair State, Bender is at Keene State, Webber is at Merrimack College, Lowe is at Florida Southern, and Valentine is at Albertus Magnus.
Plourde, a junior, was a Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Academic honoree last fall and tallied 121 kills in 24 matches.
Chipman is a junior and an Elementary Education major.
Bender, a freshman, has played in five of her team’s eight matches.
Webber, a sophomore, played in all 26 matches last fall.
Lowe, a junior, was on the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll as a sophomore.
Valentine, a freshman, has played in five of her team’s seven matches.
