Cretella earns MASCAC women’s lacrosse honor

Former St. Paul girls’ lacrosse standout Emma Cretella had a big week for Westfield State University, and she was lauded by her conference for her efforts.
Cretella was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, according to a Monday press release. The senior finished her week (three games) with 10 goals, one assist, nine draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover.
Cretella had four goals against Amherst College and three goals apiece against Rochester Polytechnic Institute and Connecticut College. Cretella also had five draw controls against Connecticut College, where she played against former St. Paul teammate Greta Panke. Panke is a sophomore at Connecticut College.
