The Utica College women’s basketball team played one game last week, but it was enough for former St. Paul standout Brigid Johndrow to earn Empire 8 Conference accolades.
Johndrow, a graduate student majoring in Health Studies, was named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for her effort in a 59-43 win over SUNY Poly on Nov. 30. Johndrow played all 40 minutes and filled the stat sheet with 12 points, six rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two blocks. She was 5-for-8 from the field, 1-for-3 on three-point attempts and 1-for-2 at the foul line.
Johndrow has played in and started all six games for Utica (6-0). She is playing 28.7 minutes per game and has averages of 9.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 4.2 steals and 0.3 blocks. Johndrow is shooting 42.2% from the field.
