This date in history: Kennedy baseball downs Sacred Heart at Waterville Park

It was a tough season for Kennedy baseball in 2018, but on this date, the Eagles picked up a 3-2 win over city rival Sacred Heart at Waterville Park.

Kennedy had a small roster as is, then junior Marquis Blagmon had to leave during the game to attend his National Honor Society induction. The Eagles were able to tie the game, 2-2, in the top of the sixth inning. Kennedy scored a run in the top of the seventh, then shut the door after a two-out walk in the bottom of the seventh to claim the victory.

Here’s my story from that game.
