St. Paul girls lacrosse tops Holy Cross in Monday morning game at Bristol Central

St. Paul girls lacrosse topped Holy Cross 15-9 in a game played on Monday morning at Bristol Central. The Falcons and Crusaders took advantage of the turf home field of the Rams. All three schools were on spring break Monday.

Emma Cretella led the St. Paul attack with five goals. Greta Panke had two goals and one assist while Catherine Ciampi added two goals. Gabe Castonguay tallied one goal and three assists while Cameron Baston and Ashley Suzio each had one goal and one assist. Addison Davis, Maddie Farrell and Christina Pisani also scored for the Falcons, who improved to 3-2 on the season. St. Paul scored 15 goals for the second straight game. The Falcons defeated Wolcott 15-4 on April 17 at St. Paul. St. Paul has won three straight games since losing its first two of the season.

Kylie O’Brien led Holy Cross with three goals. Norah Dreher, Camille Perron, Sabrina Santopietro, Morgan Murray, Emma D’Ambruoso and Alyssa Hebb all scored one goal, and McKenna Ellsworth recorded an assist. Holy Cross dropped to 1-4 on the season.

St. Paul is scheduled to play at Lewis Mills on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Holy Cross is scheduled to play at Wolcott on Wednesday, also at 4 p.m.
