The location changes from year to year, but the team results remain the same in the Bristol City Cross Country Championship meet.

Bristol Central swept the team titles against Bristol Eastern and St. Paul on Friday at St. Paul Catholic High School in a meet rescheduled from Thursday due to heavy rains.

The Central boys captured their 15th straight city championship. The Rams were led by Mark Petrosky, who defended his individual championship. Nate DeAngelo, Jose Ramirez, Pacifico Flores, Devin Flores and Ian Kreciglowa all finished in the Top 10 for the Rams. Central is ranked No. 7 in the latest soundRunner Connecticut High School Coaches XC Poll.

The Central girls won the team title for the 10th straight year. Freshman Natalie Dube finished second and was followed in the Top 10 by fellow Rams Alexandra Sirko, Natalie Popielarz, Isabella Crandall and Marisa Heller.

Next up for the teams are the league championship meets. Central and Eastern compete in the CCC Championships this coming Tuesday at Wickham Park in Manchester. St. Paul takes part in the NVL Championships this coming Wednesday at Veterans’ Park in Watertown.
