The Bristol Knights are on a three-game winning streak and sit atop their division in the Connecticut Twilight League.
Bristol is 8-4-1 following a 9-4 win over the expansion Singing Surgeons on Monday evening. Nick Dzioba, Tommy Stagis, Kyle Pileski and Julio Ortiz-Rivera each had two hits for the Knights in the victory at Bransfield Park in Portland.
The three-game wining streak began on June 7, when Bristol beat the Wethersfield Dodgers 4-3 in eight innings at Wethersfield High School. Ortiz-Rivera had two hits and two RBI. Georgie Santiago also had two hits in the win.
On June 8, the Knights claimed another 4-3 win, this time over the East Hampton Royals at Bristol Eastern High School. Marco Ross pitched six innings and struck out four, and Stagis had two RBI.
Bristol’s manager is Brian LaRochelle. Catcher/first baseman/pitcher Eddie Dickman is the team’s longest-tenured regular player and is in his 16th season.
The Knights host the Glastonbury Pirates on Friday at 6 p.m. at Bristol Eastern.
