When they were at Sacred Heart High School, it was routine to see Mustapha Heron and Tyrn Flowers hit double figures in scoring.
Heron and Flowers did the same in their first Division I college basketball games, Heron at Auburn and Flowers at UMass-Amherst.
Heron scored 10 points, all in the first half, in an 83-66 Auburn home victory over North Florida. Heron made two 3-pointers and sank 4-of-5 foul shots. He also had three rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes of play.
Flowers tallied 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 90-76 UMass-Amherst home win over UMass-Lowell. Flowers made 3-of-7 three-point attempts, dished out an assist and came up with a steal.
