TRI-STATE PLAYOFFS: Wolcott Scrappers need Game 3 win to move on

The third-seeded Wolcott Scrappers may not have been the home team on Monday night, but they were on their home field at the BAW Complex against the No. 6 Tri-Town Trojans.
Tri-Town spoiled any celebration with a 5-4 win to tie the Connecticut Tri-State Baseball League best-of-three second round series at one game apiece. The Scrappers will be the home team tonight in the deciding Game 3 at the BAW. First pitch is scheduled for 7 o’clock.

Only one other game was scheduled for Monday, and the second-seeded Naugatuck Dogs blew away the No. 7 Torrington Rebels 15-1 at Torrington’s Fuessenich Park to sweep their series.
