Great season ends early for Bristol Knights

There will be no three-peat for the Bristol Knights.
The Elmer’s Silver Bullets made sure of that Friday night in a rain-delayed 7-2 victory over the two-time defending Connecticut Twilight League champions at Rotary Field in South Windsor. After a terrific 20-4-1 regular season, the Knights saw their playoff run end after just two games.
A.J. Lowers had three hits while Ken Cook III had two hits and two RBI for Elmer’s in the win. The Silver Bullets are one of four teams remaining in the CTL Playoffs.
The great run of the Bristol Knights is over for the 2016 season.
