Today was supposed to be the day that the Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern baseball and softball teams renewed acquaintances.
Mother Nature had something else in mind.
Heavy rain in the late morning postponed the rivalry matchups by a day. The Central and Eastern baseball teams are now scheduled to play at 3:45 p.m. tomorrow at Bristol Central High School. The Eastern-Central softball game is now 4:15 p.m. tomorrow at Bristol Eastern High School.
The boys golf match between Central and Eastern is still on for today, according to the CIAC. The Rams and Lancers are scheduled to tee off at 3 p.m. at Pequabuck Golf Club.
We’ll see if Mother Nature allows the games to go on tomorrow. The forecast, according to NBC Connecticut and WFSB, doesn’t sound particularly great.
