The St. Paul coaching eras of Vic Rinaldi and Chris Kennedy got off to great starts on a dreary Saturday.
Rinaldi, the new head coach of the Falcon baseball team, led his squad to a 20-1 victory on the road over NVL foe Kennedy at Waterville Park. Kennedy started his gig with St. Paul boys lacrosse on a winning note by defeating Housatonic 13-4 at home.
Neither coach is new to coaching. Rinaldi is the former head coach of the Lewis Mills baseball team. Kennedy has been an assistant football coach on Jude Kelly’s staff at St. Paul.
It may only be the first day of the season, but it’s always good for a new coach to get his feet wet in a new situation with a victory. Rinaldi and Kennedy were able to do just that on Saturday.
