If one post is good, two is great, so here’s another “This date in history” for April 21.
On this date in 2016, I published a post about three local teams that had each won eight games and qualified for the state tournament. The Holy Cross softball and St. Paul baseball teams weren’t surprising, but the WCA softball team was.
The Spartans, who were playing in their first varsity season, were 8-0 in their first eight games. You read that right. Eight wins, zero losses in eight games.
