Holy Cross football clinches NVL Brass Division title

Holy Cross football wrapped up the NVL Brass Division title with a resounding 62-6 victory over Wilby on Friday night at Jimmy Lee Stadium.

The Crusaders finished their Brass Division schedule a perfect 5-0. Holy Cross is 5-2 overall and seventh in the Class S state playoff standings heading into today’s games.

The Crusaders outscored their Brass Division opponents 228-32. On Friday night, Holy Cross scored on the ground, through the air, on kickoff returns, and a punt return against Wilby. Jalon Jones, Pat Giancarli, Mah’kai Wilson and Drevon Yeldell each accounted for two touchdowns.

Now that the Brass Division is secure, Holy Cross faces a resurgent Torrington team on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Ray Snyder Sr. Field.
