One Wolcott American Legion player and two Bristol Post 2 representatives were chosen for the Rawlings Futures Showcase that will be held this Thursday at CCSU’s Balf-Savin Field.
Wolcott will be represented by Brett Adams, while Bristol will have Alec DiLoreto and Ethan Ryan at the showcase. All three will be playing for Team Red in the 9 a.m. game. Team Red is made up of players from Zone 1 and Zone 5.
Adams will be a pitcher for Team Red. DiLoreto is listed as a center fielder and pitcher while Ryan is a pitcher and shortstop.
Two games will be played at Balf-Savin Field, one at 9 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m. The Zone 1 and Zone 5 Team Red will play Team Navy in the first game. Team Navy has players from Zone 2 and Zone 3. Players in the first game will participate in drills in front of college coaches at 7:45 a.m. and at 11:45 a.m. for the second game.
The games are touted as showcases for Class of 2019 players and super-sophomores.
