The freshman made first team All-Commonwealth Coast Conference after leading the team in several hitting categories.
The former Holy Cross standout batted .394 during the regular season with 28 RBI and a .545 slugging percentage. All of those are tops on the Seahawks.
Salve Regina needs one more win to capture the CCC Championship. The Seahawks play the winner of Western New England and Roger Williams Saturday at about 1 p.m.
Lombardo scored the eventual winning run for Salve Regina in the sixth game of the CCC Tournament. In their first game of the tournament, Lombardo went 3-for-3 and was only a double short of the cycle while driving in three runs and scoring two more. Lombardo launched a solo home run over the left field scoreboard at Endicott’s field during that game.
Chander Walker, Pfeiffer softball

The former Bristol Central standout has helped Pfeiffer University reach the NCAA regional final. Two more wins Saturday puts Pfeiffer in the Super Regional.
The sophomore Walker did well enough during the regular season to be named to Conference Carolinas second team. She recorded at least a hit in 24 of her last 27 games in the regular season. Walker stole 14 bases, scored 31 runs and hit .328. She has been a terrific defensive player in center field for Pfeiffer.
Now, Walker will try to help Pfeiffer advance further in the NCAA Tournament.
Olivia Banulski, Molloy softball

The speedy outfielder has helped Molloy College get into the NCAA East Sub-Regional Championship at Adelphi University.
The Lions need two more wins Saturday to move on in the NCAA Tournament.
Banulski, the former Bristol Central standout, earned second team East Coast Conference honors. She usually hit first or second in the lineup and finished the regular season with a .292 average and 49 hits.
If you check out Molloy’s softball page, you will see Banulski featured prominently. She’s sliding safely into home plate.
Lauren Vallee, Bay Path softball

Another former Bristol Central standout, the sophomore led Bay Path in runs, RBI, hits, batting average home runs and slugging percentage.
For her efforts, the shortstop was named third team All-New England Collegiate Conference. Vallee finished the season with a .438 average and 35 hits, which included five homers, six doubles and two triples. She drove in 35 runs, scored 27 runs and stole nine bases. Her slugging percentage was an outstanding .750.
Bay Path’s season ended with a loss to Lesley in the first round of the NECC Tournament.
Matt Blandino, Felician baseball

For the third time this season, Blandino has been named Co-Pitcher of the Week in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
The former Bristol Central star broke the school’s single-season record for strikeouts with 85. He also became just the second Felician pitcher ever to throw two complete games in the same season. Blandino gave up three hits, all singles, in a 3-0 win over Concordia on April 30. Blandino struck out seven and walked none in that performance.
Blandino led the league in wins with seven and strikeouts with 85. In 83 innings, he allowed just 66 hits and an astounding 14 walks. Blandino compiled an ERA of 2.28.
Felician finished in first place in the CACC. The Golden Falcons begin league tournament play on Thursday.
